Not an Emergency Service

If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.

Auto Accident Urgent Care is NOT a substitute for emergency room care or 911 emergency services.

Auto Accident Urgent Care is a specialized urgent care clinic focused on the evaluation and treatment of non life threatening injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents. We are not an emergency room, trauma center, or hospital. Our services are designed to complement, not replace, emergency medical care.

If you have sustained injuries that may be life threatening, including but not limited to severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, chest pain, loss of consciousness, suspected spinal cord injury, or any condition requiring immediate surgical intervention. You should call 911 or proceed to your nearest emergency room immediately.

"$0 Upfront Cost" Qualification

References to "$0 upfront cost," "$0 out of pocket," "no cost treatment," or similar language on this website apply only to patients with qualifying auto insurance coverage. This includes:

  • Personal Injury Protection (PIP): Required under Kentucky's Motor Vehicle Reparations Act (KRS 304.39-040), PIP provides basic reparation benefits covering medical expenses arising from motor vehicle accidents, regardless of fault, up to the policy limits specified in the insured's policy.
  • No Fault Coverage: As a choice no fault state, Kentucky allows motorists to elect no fault coverage under KRS 304.39-060, which provides medical payment benefits from the insured's own policy regardless of who caused the accident.
  • Medical Payments (Med Pay) Coverage: Additional medical payment coverage that may be available under the patient's auto insurance policy.
  • Liability Coverage: Third party liability insurance from the at fault driver's policy may be available to cover medical expenses.

For patients without qualifying auto insurance coverage, treatment may be provided under a Letter of Protection (LOP) or lien arrangement, wherein payment for medical services is deferred pending resolution of a personal injury claim or legal settlement. Treatment under an LOP is not guaranteed to result in $0 patient cost. The patient may be responsible for medical charges if the claim does not result in a recovery or if the recovery is insufficient to cover all medical charges.

The availability, amount, and duration of coverage depends on the specific terms and limits of each patient's insurance policy. Patients are encouraged to review their auto insurance policy or contact their insurance provider to understand their specific coverage. Auto Accident Urgent Care makes no guarantee regarding insurance coverage, claim approval, or settlement outcomes.

Kentucky PIP & Insurance Deadlines

This website references time sensitive deadlines related to seeking medical treatment after an auto accident. These references are provided for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice.

Under Kentucky law (KRS 304.39-270), basic reparation benefits (PIP) are overdue if not paid within 30 days after the insurer receives reasonable proof of the fact and amount of loss realized. However, insurers may require that medical treatment be sought within a reasonable time following the accident to establish a causal connection between the accident and the injuries claimed.

Additionally, under Kentucky's statute of limitations (KRS 304.39-230), actions for basic or added reparation benefits must be commenced within two years after the injury or death, or the last basic reparation benefit payment, whichever is later.

Individual insurance policies may contain additional time requirements and conditions. Patients should consult with their insurance provider and/or a qualified attorney to understand all applicable deadlines and requirements specific to their situation.

Attorney Referral Disclosure

Auto Accident Urgent Care maintains professional referral relationships with personal injury attorneys and law firms. When appropriate and upon patient request, we may provide referrals to attorneys who handle personal injury and auto accident cases.

Important disclosures regarding these relationships:

  • Auto Accident Urgent Care does not provide legal advice of any kind. We are a medical clinic, not a law firm.
  • Attorney referrals are entirely optional. Patients are under no obligation to use any referred attorney and are free to retain the attorney of their choosing, or no attorney at all.
  • No fee splitting arrangement exists between Auto Accident Urgent Care and any attorney or law firm. This is in compliance with Kentucky Supreme Court Rule 3.130-5.4, which prohibits a lawyer from sharing legal fees with a nonlawyer.
  • The decision to hire an attorney is a personal decision that should be made after careful consideration. A referral from this clinic does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of legal outcomes.
  • Any statements on this website referencing financial recovery, "getting your check," settlement proceeds, or similar language refer to potential outcomes of personal injury claims and are not guaranteed. Results vary based on the specific circumstances of each case.
